A Day at PictureMe Portrait Studio
Okay.For my day job I work as a portrait photographer here in West Memphis.
I have really been working at the studio for the past 8 years.
Well, last week we became a digital portrait studio.
Really nothing has change much.
The photography is the same a little faster and not as many backgrounds.
Oh, yeah, the pricing is a little different.
We still have our classic collections platinum-bronze.
They are actually worth the prices.
I really hate to say something negitive.
Folk around here just want the cheapest price.
Look, it really is a waist of your time to come there and make me do all that great work just to burn me by only purchasing the 4.99.
That is going to close the studio down, make you go to Memphis to "professional", and pay higher prices anyway.
Would you rather have me there in the studio or around your food?
Anyway that is what I though of today as the ladies turn their noses at the prices and the mumbled "We can go to the mall to Expressions for pictures." as the were holding a tiny baby.
I know I'm better than fast food because of my education.
My education doesn't mean crap around here.
Well I have news for you.
You are going to pay New York prices from now this point forward on any drawing or painting I do for you. And up front, no refunds!!!
One day working hourly at PictureMe is more than $80. I takes me anywhere from 2hr to 2 days on a custom drawing.
Do the Math!! I have to work to pay my bills too.
Well, I have to get some sleep before I have to take my brother to work.
